Forget the tea bags and make your own tea blend using ingredients that are already in your kitchen cabinet, this will not only allow you to save money, contaminate less and drink fresher teas without any added flavoring, but you’ll also get to feel like an alchemist and hippie at the same time. All you need to do is open your kitchen cabinets to get started.

To get started:
Step 1. Prepare your blend: choose your spices, roots and superfoods—
You can use spices like Cummin, Fennel Seeds, Cardamom, Cinammon, Turmeric, Black Pepper.
Some roots and superfoods we love are- Ginger, Turmeric, Goji Berries, Mulberries, Cacao nibs, Bee Pollen even lemon works great here.
Tip: Use the seeds instead of the ground spice. They stay fresh for longer.
Step 2. Do you want your tea Strong or Mild?
Stronger Tea- Place 3 cups of water to 4 teaspoons of spices + 1 tbsp of superfoods bring to a boil lower heat and simmer for 15 min.
Milder Tea- Add your mix to a tea filter or steeper and let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes.
Step 3: Like it sweet? Add some sweetener such as honey, maple syrup or stevia.
Step 4: Hot weather? Add some ice.
